I’m so glad you’ve stopped by, and hope that you find the information on our site helpful and informative. My goal is to help ‘ohana find affordable homes within their budget. Many of my clients had given up on finding the home that they wanted, whether it be a fenced yard, in a particular neighborhood, within a school district, or just buying a home at all! Nothing is better than the seeing the joy and hope on my clients’ faces when they realize that homeownership is within their reach.
I once worked for the banks representing them in foreclosure lawsuits. Working crazy hours, sitting in traffic, and missing out on seeing my kids grow up was not a life that I enjoyed. I also did not feel “good” about representing the banks against so many local families who had fallen on hard times.
My background in real estate, escrow, and title gave me a unique perspective on these foreclosure properties. I wondered why only a handful of people showed up to bid on low-priced property auctions? I realized that many people simply didn’t know about the properties, how to buy them, and were (understandably!) intimidated by the legal process and risk.
Now I get to work with amazing clients, do good work that I am proud of, and I look forward to waking up every morning knowing that I made the best decision for me and my family. I am also free to represent my family in a quiet title action for our kuleana land in Maui – the very reason why I went to law school in the first place (that’s a story for a whole other blog post, though!)
By bringing more buyers to auctions, the prices are fairer, and the homeowners have a better chance at getting fair value for their homes, avoiding a deficiency judgment, paying off junior loans, and possibly even keeping any surplus funds after all their debts are paid. It’s a win-win for everyone!
From my ‘ohana to yours: e komo mai, welcome, and I hope you find some information here that helps you on your journey towards finding your dream hale.
